Malvani prawn Columbi masala recipe


Ingredients

Prawns - 2 cups or about 20-25 nos. Head and black rope removed and cleaned., 

Onions 2-3 medium sized finely chopped, 

2 medium sized tomatoes, 

Potatoes 1 medium sized slice, 

Wet coconut half cup (khun) or dry coconut powder,

Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tbsp,

 Kokum / Amsolam 2/3,  

1 tablespoon of red chili powder (more or less as per your liking), 

Turmeric 1/2 tsp,

Garam masala 1 tbsp, 

Malvani masala 1 tbsp, Salt to taste, Oil


Sequential recipes:

Wash the prawns, add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder and salt to taste and set aside.

Put two teaspoons of oil in a pan and add finely chopped onion.

When onion turns pink, add turmeric powder, grated coconut and finely chopped tomato. Add potato chips. Take out a steam.

After frying the mixture, add garam masala and malvani masala and fry on low flame till good oil is left.

Add salted shrimp and steam. If you want some gravy, add a cup of water and cook the prawns. 

Do not stir too much prawns are likely to break. But the masala should not be put down (burnt) then the amsule should be added as per one's liking. Add finely chopped cilantro. Malvani Columbi Masala ready.
